market_share_report_a_pie_chartA lot of people have been talking about Offline Businesses lately and I thought it was about time I spoke up. I make about 60% of my money doing business that doesn’t involve the net much, if at all.

I don’t do business to consumer as I have a pathological issue with dealing with joe public. What this means is that I onyl do business to business. I think that this is a very lucrative area that people don’t really know how to market to.

What do I do. Well, a variety of things. I am not going to reveal my niches but… if you live in North America and like to watch Hockey – chances are you have seen one of my products in action. That’s all I will say – I only mention this to show you I have become rather good at offline business.

If you have been in a certain rather large supermarket (sorry hypermarket) chain, then you have shopped with one of my clients, and whilst you may not have experienced my products or services, the chances are that one of your checkout people has come into contact with one of my services.

I’m not trying to boast – you can do much better financially online, if you know what you are doing. You also get a much more stress free life. Still, working offline B2B is far less stressful than dealing with consumers.

These are different products from different businesses – but they illustrate that I don’t stick to just one thing (I can’t keep still) and hopefully that the following is worth reading.

I made this mistake myself for years.

You get a client, ask a bunch of questons, find out everything they need help with, then launch one big MEGA project where you fix it all.

Hey, it looks impressive to them and you can get big fees doing it this way.
